This is our first trip to Big Star Lake this summer. The water was too cold to swim, but we still had lots of fun fishing, playing in the sand and hanging out with everyone. Aunt Karen helped Rylee reel in her fish.
Rylee was so excited to play with Grandma Sterk first thing in the morning.

I swear, the girls could play in the sand for hours and never get bored. They love it!

Rylee loves to go kayaking.
This was Rylee right when we were leaving the lake......This was Rylee about 2 minutes later, it was a nice quiet ride home.

And then Katelyn a few minutes later. How could anyone sleep like that?!

Rylee loves dragging Katelyn around for rides in the car.
They play together quite a bit now that Katelyn is more mobil, they are so cute together!

They both love to read....

This bird kept flying into our playroom window for a couple of weeks. The first time I heard it I was scared to go in there, I didn't know what I was going to find!
Katelyn loves playing at nursery on Monday mornings. I have to really watch her because all of the other kids are a lot older and quite hyper. She's still not walking.

Katelyn's favorite outdoor toy is the sandbox. She will sit and play in the sand forever.

April 2008

April 29: Rylee had a fun 3rd birthday! We went out for dinner at Logan's, her favorite restaurant, with Grandma and Grandpa Sterk. Then we came home and opened gifts and had cake. Rylee got a Dora suitcase, a car, a playhouse, some other toys, and of course a couple of sweatsuits. How many kids beg for a sweatsuit for their birthday...lol. Rylee with her suitcase she got from Grandma and Grandpa Sterk.
They got her a car too, which she wanted soooo bad!
Katelyn was having fun with the trucks Rylee got.

I love this face!! I took this picture right when she took her first bite of cake.
We got rid of a shed we had at our house. It took 7 guys a couple of hours to get it on the trailer. Then they drove an hour and a half home with it on a trailer that was way too small, and they were pulling it with a small SUV. It looked pretty hilarious when they finally got it on the trailer.
The shed was wider and longer than the trailer. They had it sitting on top of the wheel wells!
Rylee was having fun on her swingset while the guys loaded up the shed.

You have to go down a few pictures to see the process of Rylee changing a diaper. When she was done she gave Katelyn a hug. I love the picture above, Katelyn was playing with Rylee's face and they were both laughing.

Now Rylee is trying to put her pants on. That was quite a struggle and Rylee gave up.
She got one side on, but Katelyn kept lifting her leg. If you can see on the picture Rylee fastened one side of the diaper under her leg! Of course I had to fix it.
Rylee decided she wanted to change Katelyn's diaper. It was hilarious to watch! Rylee had a really hard time because Katelyn would not stay still or keep her legs down.

Almost everytime Rylee goes down the slide she stands at the top and screams "hallelujia". It's so funny.
Rylee was running around and Katelyn could not stop laughing.
Then they sat on the floor for the longest time passing the blue and orange mail pieces back and forth over and over. They had tons of fun and it was adorable!
You've gotta love Rylee's sense of style!

The girls were coloring together. Katelyn kind of knows what crayons are for, but she can't quite hold them right.

March 2008

FYI, the pictures at the bottom of the page are from the beggining of the month. As they go up they go to the end of the month. This month Katelyn started crawling and even pulling herself up next to furniture....uh-oh. The girls both had the flu this month too, that was a bad week!! This is what Katelyn's hair looks like after naptime, scary i know!!
We spent Easter at my aunt and uncles house. Due to the wether we had to have the easter egg hunt inside, but Rylee still loved it!

I took this picture just before Katelyn tipped over and I got her in motion. I think it looks so funny!

Rylee was eating candy from her eggs with my cousin Leanne.
Poor Rylee was sick and couldn't sleep in her bed. She ended up taking her nap on the couch.
Katelyn pulled herself up beside the coffee table for the first time and I got a picture.

Katelyn was having fun crawling with Grandpa and pulling faces.
Now Grandpa is helping her run, she loved it.

Rylee got to help cut her daddy's hair, she thought it was so fun. Look at our hideous bathroom!! I can't wait to tear it apart and redo everything.

This pic is sooo cute! Rylee was playing her piano and singing at the top of her lungs while Katelyn lays on the floor singing too.
Katelyn loves talking into the microphone, it's her favorite thing to do. Look at that smile on her face :)

Rylee had her chair in the kitchen and Katelyn scooted in there and was whipping the chair around by the leg.
